Warming Centre
EMO UPDATE!!
Afton Hall will be open again tomorrow, October 5th, from 8am-8pm. October 5 will be the last day for a hot dinner. Soup and sandwiches for lunch. As always there will be tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and juice.
We will NOT be moving the Warming Centre to the Kingston Legion on Thursday but will be moving it to the lower level of Afton Hall. We will not be having a hot dinner downstairs, but will still have soup and sandwiches available.
With more and more people getting their power on, we are seeing less people at the Warming Centre. This is a great sign that more people are finally getting power to their homes.
If you have neighbours who are without power, are elderly or anyone that still needs assistance, please contact our office so we can ensure they get checked on either by Ground Search and Rescue or other officials. The office number is (902)675-7000 or you can email admin@westriverpe.ca.
