Council had accepted the submitted report on June 10, 2021. Changes to the areas, boundaries or names of the wards come into effect for the next scheduled election of 2022. RMWR is the first municipality to adopt both English and Mi’kmaq names for its wards.

The new Council is made up of a Mayor and six Councillors as there are six wards with one councillor to be elected from each, and the Mayor will be elected at large.
